Full Interior Detailing

The interior of your vehicle is your personal space, and we know that you would like it to be fresh and clean all the time. We also know that there is not always enough time or energy to do it. If your vehicle has become a bit of a lost cause, Executive Auto Spa can return it to its former glory. The trunk and/or cargo areas are included.

  • Tidying is the first step. All loose material is removed, and personal possessions are bagged and returned with the car.
  • In some cases, particularly in very dirty vehicles, the seats may need to be removed to facilitate the vacuuming and shampooing process. If the seats have electrical connections, the battery of the vehicle is disconnected to eliminate the chance of damage to electronic components. This may cause pre-sets, such as radio stations, clocks, and memory seat positions, to be lost. Occasionally, the centre console is also removed. The owner will be consulted prior to such actions. (Vehicles that are very, very dirty may be subject to extra charges. We will tell you before we start.
  • Vacuuming every inch comes next. Small boar’s-hair brushes are used to coax every speck of dust and dirt from hard-to reach-areas. No hidden corner is ignored. Vents, glove boxes, storage cubbies, seat rails…you name it, we clean it.
  • Next is the hard surface cleaning. Using microfibre towels and an all-purpose cleaner, every surface is disinfected and cleaned. Small brushes come in handy here too, to reach the unreachable spots. Plastics and vinyl come up shining clean! Then a UV resistant protectant is applied to give them a glowing matte finish.
  • All of the carpeted areas are shampooed. It is amazing how much muck can be removed from carpets that the owner thinks, “aren’t too bad”. Especially in spring, after a long winter of salt and dirt being dragged in, every vehicle should be shampooed to enhance the life and appearance of your carpeting.
  • Carpet shampoo is applied to each area and agitated with a brush. It is then extracted with a warm water rinse. This process is repeated until the extracted solution is clean and soap-free. It may take numerous repetitions to achieve a satisfactory result.
  • Cloth seating is given the same treatment. Leather seating and decor is cleaned with a gentle soap then treated with a lasting leather-specific dressing to return the softness and lustre to them. All floor mats are removed and cleaned or shampooed separately.
  • The headliner is a sponge for odours, dirt and oils. It is gently cleaned with an all-purpose cleaned applied with a soft cloth, then immediately removed with a microfibre towel.
  • Door areas can be especially dirty and are cleaned thoroughly to enhance the clean appearance of your vehicle. Rubber seals are cleaned, moisturized and protected to ensure tight seals and long life. Hinges and locks are lubricated.
  • All windows, both inside and outside, are cleaned and polished.

A note about Windows. Although window cleaning is a part of both interior and exterior cleaning processes and is provided at no extra cost, it may be interesting to find out how it is done. The first step, used on very smudged or hazy windows, is to wipe them down with isopropyl alcohol, which will loosen and dissolve that sticky, hazy residue and many other contaminants. Secondly, a household window cleaner is lightly applied and immediately wiped off with a microfibre towel. Lastly, another clean, dry towel is used to buff the inevitable streaks away.
